So much...

Wednesday, April 6, 2011

There is so much going on, so many stories today...and already at 10am...that have brought tears to my heart, and tears running down my face.

As I think about the complaining I do and then I think about all of these heart warming, touching stories, I think what an idiot I am for complaining about the small stuff. Yes, my two teen stepdaughters get attitudes sometimes, but I know they love me and appreciate everything I do and I love them and appreciate them for letting me into their lives.

Sometimes I don't feel like cleaning, cooking, driving around to drama practice, softball games, to the mall, but they are my kids and they depend on me and I am grateful to be able to be the stepmom they love and share things with.

I never felt so strong about our bond than I did two days ago at my youngest daughter's softball practice. It was a great day for practicing outside and they needed a field practice before their first game. The ball was hit and I saw my stepdaughter's arm in the air with her glove open ready to catch it. Next thing I know, I'm screaming her name and running towards her because the ball hit her face. She was kneeling down covering her eye and we weren't sure how bad it was yet. It was pretty scary when we saw the blood running down her face and she was crying and screaming pretty hard. But we got her cleaned up, took her to the doctors and found out that she didn't need any stitches and her eye was going to be fine.

She has a minor cut on the top of her lid and swelling under her eye, which has now turned to a dark red/ purple color. But her spirits are high and she's hoping to cover it up with makeup on Friday since they will be taking her graduating pictures...heres hoping theres retakes!

Here is her poor little eye....

Ouch....

Glad you're okay sweety...we love you, your sister, and brother!

Scrapbooking...

Sunday, April 3, 2011

I wanted to show everyone what my best friend and I were doing a few weekends ago while scrapbooking until 3am!! First we did a few pages in our scrapbooks and then she showed me how to make a mini album from putting scrap paper together. Hope everyone had a great weekend, it was finally warm out for the entire weekend so we all went bike riding on Saturday and Sunday!

(Girl Owls!)

(Just picture it with pictures!)

(Buttons!)

I put the three girl owls at the top because all of the pictures in this mini album will be of me and my two step daughters and all of our little adventures together...baking cookies, going to walks, and just hanging out!

My Maid of Honor and my mom did a wonderful job, an awesome job. I love them so much and I love my bridesmaids and want to thank everyone who shared this special day with me. My bridal shower was so fun, we played games, ate amazing cake, opened wonderful gifts! My photographer who is a family friend came and took amazing photos...she is so wonderful and I want to thank her so much! My older sister made a beautiful photo album of photos she took from our facebook...i love it so much! And my soon to be stepdaughter drew a beautiful photo of us as bride and groom walking into the sunset. She has such amazing talent! I love it and it made me cry. It was such a great day and I can't wait for our wedding!

I LOVE SCRAPBOOKING!!!

Monday, June 29, 2009

I must say it again...I love scrapbooking! It's such a wonderful craft and very relaxing. It gets your mind in such a creative state and it's tons of fun when you scrapbook with other people...like I did last night with my step-daughters to be! I'm almost finished my scrapbook my fiance gave me for Christmas...which is All About Me and what and who makes me who I am. I started off with pages of me and the things I am like a scrapbooker, a writer, a listener, a soon to be wife, etc. Then I made a page of pictures of me growing up and then started with pages of people in my life starting with my fiance all the way to my grandparents, cousins, etc. So here are the three pages I've created last night. The first one is of my grandparents( my mom's parents in the black and white photos and my dad's parents holding me in the colored photo!), the 2nd is of my aunts and uncles, and the last one is of my cousins.
