There are many new bridal collections and lines this year, from Vera Wang at David's Bridal...love, to BHLDN from Anthropologie...obsessed with! What I love is how creative and refreshing they both are and how they created more than just bridal gowns. I am amazed at all of the lovely accessories, sashes, headbands, and more. I imagine the BHLDNbride is more offbeat, relaxed, and unique. Most of their gowns and accessories remind me of theme weddings, but there are a few gowns that I can see the average, I want to be a princess, bride wearing!
What do you think about their bridal line, are there pieces you could see yourself wearing on your wedding day?
Check out these lovely accessories below and my other favorite picks including their gowns and bridal headbands at Wedding.AllWomenstalk....
These beautiful jewerly accessories are some of my favorites from their bridal line, would you wear any of these on your wedding day?
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, anything exciting going on? My best friend who was my MOH is celebrating her daughter's third birthday! Happy Birthday little turtle! She was actually born on leap day, so next year will be her official birthday, she'll be one and four! <3
Today is the big day over at 150 David's Bridal stores where brides on a budget will be lined up waiting to get their hands on the new Vera Wang White Collection!! Have you seen them yet, do you have a favorite? They are filled with tulle, lace, organza, and loads of layers. They are def Vera Wang style, some are very runway and offbeat but others are just simple and classic. There is a dress for every bride. Here are my to favorites.... I love the first one esp. with the one shoulder and fit and flare style! What fun would the pink gown be, turning heads and making a statement!
Are you going to be wearing a designer gown or do you wish these gowns were out when you were planning?
I hope every bride loves her dress and finds the one, no matter what price or what store you bought it from or what name is on the label. It's your dress, it's your big day and you're marrying the man you love and who loves you. No one can put money or a label on love.
I dvr'd Friday's episode of Oprah and cried the entire time I watched it last night! First because she helped an amazing woman who lost her arms and legs and her husband lost his job. They were renting a small apartment with their two young daughters so Oprah sent them on a journey to search for a new HOME that she is going to buy for them...paid in full! Then she brought out Vera Wang and together they gave 50 brides50 Vera Wang dresses from her new David's Bridal "White" collection coming out in Feb. and then they gave those same brides $4,000 for a honeymoon at any Marriott, $250.00 from Kohls for a new honeymoon wardrobe, and airfare from United Airlines to fly any where in the US, the Virgin Islands, Canada, or Puerto Rico!!
Another wonderful surprise was when Oprah helped a single mother who paid for her three children to go to college and wouldn't be able to pay off the $78,000 loan debt till she was 90...well Oprah paid off that debt for her, paid for them to go on a dream trip to Italy, and paid her bills for a year so she can take off and have some time for herself!
Oh and Oprah loves Chicken Pie!! And not just any chicken pie....it has to be from Centerville Pie Company in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. These wonderful women wanted to give Oprah and Gayle some comfort food when they were in Mass. to attend Eunice Kennedy Shriver's funeral. Since then they have teamed up to work with Cape Abilities, a nonprofit organization that helps adults with disabilities find work. It all seemed like it was meant to be since Eunice founded the Special Olympics and now these ladies were helping and giving some of their profits to Cape Abilities. So Oprah wanted to reward them...so she told them that Harry & David were going to sell their pies in their catalog, which reaches millions of people!
I'm so glad I did this post on First Daughter Weddings, it's so interesting to find out that many of them had at home receptions while others got married in the White House. Did you know that Amy Carter made her own wedding cake and that she kept her last name! I loved Chelsea Clinton's Vera Wang gown, she looked so happy!
