Valentine's Day Printables for Your Guy!

Wednesday, January 28, 2015

I shared a few Valentine's Day printables on Monday at the end of my heart shaped treats round up post, but kept thinking about what I would want to print and give to my guy. I love the heart prints I made, but they were more for Valentine's Day decor.

So back to Pic Monkey I headed to make a few more prints, I think these turned out a bit more guy friendly! I would love to hear which print you would share with your guy!

My guy's beard isn't as long as this one, but this was my favorite beard graphic on Pic Monkey!

Superman or Batman?

I love both movies, but I'm more of a Batman girl...actually make that an X-Men girl, but Pic Monkey didn't have that symbol!

Kiss, Kiss! Have fun and spice up your Valentine's Day with this print!!

Would your guy like any of these prints? Maybe print them all and hide them around the house for him to find!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

XOXO

Heart Shaped Treats for Your Valentine

Monday, January 26, 2015

Happy Monday! Are you planning fun activities for Valentine's Day yet? Maybe a special date night without the kids?

The day of love tends to put a lot of pressure on the guys, but it really shouldn't be all about us ladies. They deserve just as much love on Valentine's Day as we do and we all know the way to a man's heart is through his stomach! So, I did a little searching on Pinterest and found a few fun heart-shaped treats for your Valentine that won't disappoint.

1. Raspberry Moscato Cocktail

So this drink may be a little more fruity than most guys like, but the idea here is to make the heart shaped ice cubes for his favorite cocktail. I think this recipe from Create Celebrate Explore looks amazing, and who knows your guy might like it too!

2. Heart Shaped Cake

No need to rush to the store for a heart shaped baking pan the night before Valentine's Day! I love this trick and may even test it out using red velvet cake mix. It's a fun idea for Valentine's Day and for your sweetheart's birthday as well!

3. Peek-a-boo Pound Cake

How adorable are these peek-a-boo hearts? I wonder is this would also work with banana bread, one of my guy's favorites!

4. Marble Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies

These marble red velvet cheesecake brownie hearts from The Novice Chef look more like art than food! Either way, I bet they taste just as amazing as they look.

5. Heart Shaped Chocolate Chip Banana Pancakes

My husband is always making breakfast for me; pancakes, waffles, bacon and eggs...okay now I'm hungry for breakfast food! This Valentine's Day I really should return the favor and make him these heart shaped pancakes. You can use a mold like Gina from Skinnytaste did or use a squeeze bottle to squirt the pancake mix into a heart shape onto the pan.

Would any of these recipe ideas satisfy your guy on Valentine's Day? What are you planning for the big day of love?

Wait, don't leave just yet, I have a fun Valentine's Day print for you...

Have you heard of PicMonkey? It's a Photo editor website where you can crop, write text, and create different effects on your images. But that's not all, you can also create your own fun print...

I made this one for us, but made a blank one for you to fill out with your own initials or whatever you'd like; your kids' names, the word love or forever n always, the choice is yours!

Just right click, save as and then open it up in PicMonkey and select text. There are tons of font options too, I used ecuyer dax font.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

What a fantastic weekend! Friday we ordered chinese food, Saturday we had a wonderful visit from our best friends (my maid of honor, her husband and their beautiful daughter!), and today we roasted marshmellows and made Smores!

It's so nice to see their whole family together again. My best friend's husband just got back from Iraq a few weeks ago, God bless him and all of our troops. But it felt like the good old times hanging out, laughing, and telling stories. Their two year old daughter, who will be three at the end of this month, is just the cutest little girl! They just came back from Disney World and she loved showing us all of their photos and telling us about her favorite princesses and fairies. It seems like the fairies are more popular this year in Disney; they waited 40 minutes to see Tinkerbell and friends and only 5 minutes for the Cinderella, Belle, and the other princesses! We were going to do some scrapbooking but never got to it because we were playing a dice game called Farkle! Even their daughter loved playing this game!

Today was just a nice relaxing Sunday hanging around the house with my hubby and then we took a drive to the store for some marshmellows, chocolate, and graham crackers! Yum! Happy Valentine's Day Honey!

So What's New!

Monday, February 7, 2011

Not much going on today, just feels like a slow day at the office (home!) lol. Maybe that's because the Pittsburgh Steelers put on a sad performance at the Super Bowl yesterday. Not a happy night at this household!

But the night before, Saturday, was a really great night catching up with friends and hanging out with work friends at my husband's work party...same place I used to work! They call it their "holiday" party because the actual holiday season is very busy and too busy to hold a party so now each year they hold it close to Valentine's Day. The tables were decorated with Valentine's Day vases with little hearts and each couple got a company mug filled with candy! So we pretty much considered this our Valentine's Day gift to each other, my husband bought me a new dress for the party and we stayed the night in a beautiful room at the hotel where the party was hosted. It felt really nice to have the night to ourselves and get out on the town without the kids (we love you!). We even went to the bar for a little after party with our friends!

So what are you doing for Valentine's Day? Would you ever consider a Valentine's Day Wedding? I think it would be a great time to look for DIY decorations and projects during this holiday, especially if your wedding colors are red or pink. I love these favors from TheFavourShoppe for a Sweet Vday Wedding!
